The 5-member Local Cable Committee is appointed by the Town Manager to ensure that the provisions of the town's cable television contract(s) are implemented. The committee serves 3-year terms and acts as a liaison between cable customers and the cable company(s), and provides feedback and acts in an advisory capacity to the Director (Supervisor of Cable, Community Television and Information Radio) for issues that may require direct intervention of the town administration.
In addition, the Committee serves as a buffer between the consumer and the cable company when subscriber problems arise, and represents the interests of Auburn residents in providing the best cable services possible.
