District 7 Regional Dive Team

The Auburn Fire Rescue Department is a member of the District 7 Regional Dive Team. Established in 2010 the team is made up of members and equipment from the towns of Auburn, Charlton, Douglas, Dudley, Millbury, Oxford, Southbridge, Sturbridge and Webster. The Auburn Fire Rescue Department supplies one dive truck, two boats, four certified public safety divers and five ground crew/boat operators. The Regional Dive Team is comprised of 18 certified Public Safety Divers and 9 certified Tenders/Ground Crew. All of the certified public safety divers are also certified tenders. The team has year round capabilities and hosts a variety of advanced equipment. The team covers over 140 significant sized lakes and ponds, including 3 large rivers in the district. The Chief of Department also serves as a member of the Technical Rescue Committee which is the policy setting body for the Regional Dive Team.
