The following Regional and State resources are available to households who may be behind on utility payments, struggling to pay their bills, or just looking for additional ways to save. The following programs are available to help individuals and families with energy costs (eligibility contingent on income and individual program criteria):
Worcester Community Action Council Fuel Assistance: Helps homeowners and renters pay home heating bills and past due balances on utility bills. Website: https://wcac.net/fuel-assistance/
National Grid’s Discounted ‘R-2’ Delivery Rate: Discounted service rates are available for residential customers that meet certain criteria. Website: https://www.nationalgridus.com/MA-Home/Rates/Service-Rates
Mass Save: offers a number of rebates and incentives available to homeowners and renters, as well as income-based offers.
Massachusetts Good Neighbor Energy Fund: Available to MA residents who, because of temporary financial difficulty, cannot meet a month’s energy expense and is not eligible for state or federal energy assistance.
